How long has your business been operating?

Suckers for Succulents has been running for 6 years now

What do you make and create?

I grow plants and make handmade kokedamas, terrariums, pouches and wooden planter boxes. We try to create ‘art pieces’ that stand out and add a pop of colour of bring something unique to your space at home.

Is your product ethical, vegan, unique/different in any way?

My product is plant based with no animal products used, we also use a variety of water wise plants, that can grow without too much maintenance, great for those who don’t have much luck with plants in their home!

How "hands on" to the creation of your products are you?

I’m very hands on with my product, from propagating the plants to the finished product, it’s what I do and love the creation process.

Tell me about the person you are in everyday life? (where you live, kids, family, activities?)

I’m a very family oriented person, I have two beautiful daughters as well as 2 grand babies.

I eat sleep and breathe my plants.

Tell me about why you love to create your products or brand?

Creating my products is my chill time, it makes me happy to be around my plants and see how nature can transform into a piece of art. Being around plants is very nurturing and peaceful.

Tell me about the space you work in to create your products?

My husband converted out carport into my very messy, but productive studio space.

Does your family or friends help or have any input into what you do?

My eldest daughter Allanah is the main person who has input, she created the business originally for a Vcal project. My husband helps me by being my muscles carting our creations to various markets and events.

What are your short term goals?

My goals are always to try new creations and to try my best to keep up with the fast pace social media, it’s been a great tool to grow and share my creations with people everywhere.

What are your long term goals?

To continue to grow and expand
